Obituary Doity Gaskill, 88, of Stacy, died Friday, January 30, 2015, at Carteret General Hospital. His funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, at Stacy Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Laxton officiating. The interment with Masonic Rites will follow at the Lawrence Family Cemetery, Otway. He was born in Stacy on August 23, 1926 to Leon and Edith Mason Gaskill. Mr. Gaskill was a member of Stacy Free Will Baptist Church and Franklin Lodge No. 109 A.F. & A.M. He is survived by his daughter, Valerie G. Styron and husband, Thom, of Otway; son, Timothy Glenn Gaskill of Stacy; sisters, Abbie Peppers of Stacy and Linda Dixon and husband, Junior, of Morehead City; grandchildren, Melodi Styron Briley of Otway and Timothy G. Gasklill, Jr. of Stacy; great-grandchildren, Jarrod Thomas Briley, Eryka Gaskill, and Domanick Gaskill. In addition to his parents, his wife, Joyce Lawrence Gaskill, and grandson, Jarrod Thomas Styron, preceded him in death.
