Craig George Wright

Obituary Craig George Wright was born on December 19, 1942 in Bladenboro, NC and grew up a Connecticut Yankee through high school and most recently lived in Beaufort, N.C. Craig is survived by his sister, Beth Schondorf and her family, and his former wife, Lorna Wright and their two sons Terry and Jason and their families, all in Connecticut. After graduating from Upsala College in New Jersey, Craig attended Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, interning in Pittsfield Massachusetts. After studying at Millersville PA Teachers College he moved back to Connecticut where he taught woodworking, worked as Boy Scout executive and became an independent woodworker. In Connecticut Craig built a sea-worthy sailboat and set off down the Intercoastal Waterway in 2004. He docked at the North Carolina Maritime Museum in Beaufort and was hired as their boatbuilder where he worked for 10 years. After retiring, Craig stayed in Beaufort and built several small boats. Donations in Craig's honor may be made to the Bonehenge Whale Center through the Carolina Cay Maritime Foundation 723 Comet Drive, Beaufort, NC 28516 or through the website at https://bonehenge.org/donors-sponsors.
