Obituary Amanda Lee Matson, 26, of Morehead City, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014, in Fayetteville, NC. A Funeral Mass will be held for the family Saturday, October 25, 2014, at St. Egbert Catholic Church with the pastor, the Rev. Thomas R. Davis, officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather at the home at 2:00 p.m. Saturday. Miss Matson was born on December 14, 1987, in Quincy, Massachusetts. She was a West Carteret High School graduate and also graduated from Carteret Community College in 2013. Miss Matson was a loving mother who will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Isabella Marie Cooper; mother, Bonnie Lee Johnson-Gwinn and husband, Billy, of Morehead City; father, Tod Wilfred Matson of Quincy, Massachusetts; brothers, William Lee Matson of Raleigh, Quentin Lawrence Dyer of Morehead City, Kevin Matson of Singapore and Brian Matson of Massachusetts; grandfather, William Lee Johnson of Morehead City; uncle, Kris Lee Johnson of Morehead City; Her grandmother, June Carol Johnson, preceded her in death.
